print a temporary pass to use until your membership package arrives.

IMPORTANT: This form is only for NEW members who are American Military Force Combat Veterans. This special discount is our way of saying "Thank you" for serving our country. If you are a Combat Vet who is RENEWING, please click here. First, here are the rules and regulations and a waiver and release. By submitting this form you agree to them. WHAT IS A MEMBERSHIP? 1. Each 24 Karat Gold Hunters membership is considered a family membership and is limited to husband, wife and children under age 18, when accompanied by parents. All family members must be named in original application. 2. Proof of 24 Karat Gold Hunters membership (membership card) is to be carried, worn or displayed by member while member is on 24 Karat Gold Hunters claims or attending 24 Karat Gold Hunters activities. Any person not having proof of membership will be denied prospecting privileges. MEMBER BENEFITS 3. 24 Karat Gold Hunters claims are for the explicit use of the 24 Karat Gold Hunters members. Non-members may not be brought in as guests of members and may not prospect or assist in prospecting on these same claims or participate in any 24 Karat Gold Hunters activities except as follows: A. Non-members may purchase a one time only guest pass, good for one day of prospecting on 24 Karat Gold Hunters claims. B. Members may bring up to 3 guests per year for one day of prospecting. A first day pass will be issued at no charge for guests of members. A second day pass may be purchased by guest of member for a fee of $50. C. Guests will not prospect on any current excavation sites. 4. Each member may stake one 30 foot by 30 foot claim, anywhere within our claims boundaries, with the exception of trails and current excavation sites. A. Members shall mark their area with a sign bearing their name, member number, and last date area was worked. B. Marker shall be placed in the center of the area claimed. C. After seven days of no prospecting this area, using the last date on marker, this claim shall be deemed abandoned and is open for restaking by any member. D. Members are restricted to one working claim at any one time. E. Upon completion of prospecting said claim, claim is to be back filled and reclaimed. F. Member may stake another claim upon closing any previous claim and providing all back filling and reclamation worked is completed. G. Members not completing back filling and reclamation shall have prospecting privileges suspended until such time as back filling and reclamation work is completed. 5. Member keeps all the gold they find. MEMBER RESPONSIBILITIES 6. Members shall abide by all current local, county, state, and federal laws and regulations that are applicable to their activities. 7. Firearms shall be limited to appropriate weapons necessary for defense from venomous snakes. Other than for the above stated reason, firearms and other potentially lethal weapons shall not be worn, carried, displayed or brandished on any 24 Karat Gold Hunters premises or at any 24 Karat Gold Hunters activity. 8. No drugs or any contraband will be allowed or tolerated on any 24 Karat Gold Hunters premises or at any 24 Karat Gold Hunters activity. Any member found with illegal drugs in their possession will have their membership terminated. 9. No alcoholic beverages on 24 Karat Gold Hunters premises. Limit use of alcoholic beverages to your RV or off the premises. 10. Foul, abusive, offensive language or profanity will not be tolerated. 11. Members are required to backfill and reclaim any area they prospect when they have finished with that area. 12. Pets may be allowed on premises under the following terms: A. Pets must be on leashes at all times. B. Owners are responsible for cleaning up after pets. Bring pooper scoopers and bags. C. Pets are limited to cats or dogs. D. Owners are financially responsible for any damages or injuries caused by their pets. MEMBER ENVIRONMENTAL RESPONSIBILITES 13. IF YOU PACK IT IN - PACK IT OUT!!! Members are responsible for keeping claims and other facilities clean. All garbage, debris, trash and waste of any kind must be taken off claims by member who brought it in. Any member caught in the act of discarding any debris of any sort (for example: food wrappers, drink cans, bottles, oil cans) shall be assessed $50. Failure to pay assessment shall cause loss of 24 Karat Gold Hunters prospecting privileges. 14. Smokers should carry bags or appropriate containers for their used smoking materials. Do not discard cigarette butts, cigar butts (filtered or non-filtered) on 24 Karat Gold Hunters premises. Any member caught discarding smoking materials on 24 Karat Gold Hunters premises will be assessed $50. Failure to pay assessment will result in loss of 24 Karat Gold Hunters prospecting privileges. 15. Use of campfires: A. Burn only natural materials (wood, paper). No plastic, Styrofoam, cans, bottles or other materials. B. Campfires only in designated areas. C. No campfires when authorities have banned them. D. All campfires to be thoroughly extinguished before you leave them. E. Keep a shovel and pail of water by campfire for emergencies. 16. No chemicals, including mercury, shall be allowed on the claims for the purpose of mineral prospecting, cleaning, or recovery. Chemicals are meant to be used in a controlled environment and present a hazard to all members. GENERAL 17. 24 Karat Gold Hunters mineral claims are located on public lands; therefore members may not restrict the public from access or other activities except for mining, prospecting or any removal of minerals. 18. Members, through their conduct, shall convey goodwill toward the general public and all local, county, state, and federal agencies. 19. Members shall conduct themselves in a manner that is not detrimental to the 24 Karat Gold Hunters, its staff or management, or any other member. 20. Members shall share in helping and assisting other club members who may not have the knowledge to proceed on their own. 21. No private solicitations by members for private causes (profit or nonprofit) shall be allowed without prior written approval by 24 Karat Gold Hunters management. 22. Members 15 days in arrears on their membership dues shall be deemed as “lapsed” and have no further 24 Karat Gold Hunters privileges. 23. Casual prospecting is considered exploration and no mechanized equipment will be allowed, with the exception of metal detectors, portable dry washers that can be carried by one person, dredges with a 3 inch nozzle or smaller, and pumps with a 5 hp engine or less. No mechanized excavators or earth movers of any type shall be allowed. 24. Members are casual prospectors and responsible for the exploration of the 24 Karat Gold Hunter claims. Forms will be provided to document your find. This information is confidential and not available to outside sources. 25. The rights of 24 Karat Gold Hunters members to prospect are limited to 24K claims. 24K members have no legal right to prospect on any surrounding federal claims or any portion of the State of Arizona Trust Lands. Federal unpatented claims are on public lands under the jurisdiction of the Bureau of Land Management or U S Forest Service. These lands may be accessed by the public except that prospecting is not allowed if they are claimed. Claimants on federal mining claims may bring Trespass charges against unauthorized people prospecting on their claims, and/or file a civil suit. You must obtain permission from claimant to prospect on their claims; this permission should be in writing for your own protection. Patented mining claims are private property, privately owned. To enter patented mining claims without permission of the owner is criminal trespass. Trespass charges against unauthorized people entering these claims for any reason may be filed by patented claim owner and/or they may file a civil suit. You must obtain permission from patented claim owner to prospect on their claims; this permission should be in writing for your own protection Unauthorized persons found on State Trust Lands may be cited by the State of Arizona, with a typical fine of $350. To legally enter Arizona State Trust Lands you must have one of the following: A. Proof of contract or lease with State of Arizona allowing access to State Trust Land. B. A current Recreational Use Permit issued by the State of Arizona. This is a limited permit, so read the rules carefully. WAIVER AND RELEASE RELEASE IN FULL OF ANY AND ALL CLAIMS ..... For and in consideration of being a member of the 24 KARAT GOLD HUNTERS, I/we do hereby acquit and forever discharge the 24 KARAT GOLD HUNTERS, its owners, members, shareholders, directors, advisors, officers, and any other persons, firms, entities, or corporations of any and all legal actions, demands, claims, damages, costs, or loss of service resulting from any and all known and unknown personal injuries and/or property damages resulting, or to result from, from any accident that could occur on any of the claims, properties, or premises provided by the 24 KARAT GOLD HUNTERS for the benefit and use of its members and guests, owned or the property of others. I/we, the undersigned do hereby state that I/we have not been influenced to any extent whatsoever in signing this release by any representation or statement regarding said injuries or liability, or any other matters, made by the owners, members, shareholders, directors, advisors, officers, and any other persons, firms, entities, or corporations or by any other person or persons representing or acting for them. This release shall be binding on all family members, but not limited to spouses, children or other enrolled members, or non member guests of a member. This release contains the entire agreement between the parties hereto, and the terms of this release are contractual and not a mere recital. I/we further state that I/we have signed and executed the same as my/our own free act. By submitting this application, I acknowledge that I wish to become a member of 24 KARAT GOLD HUNTERS and that I have read the above WAIVER AND RELEASE.
